Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public real access to warrant information, but the hard part is knowing which office holds the piece you want. A warrant does not sit in one place. A district judge signs the order and sets the bail and conditions in the case file. The sheriff's office publishes the listing and carries the order out, so it is the office that can say whether something is still open.
Minnesota also has no separate municipal or justice-of-the-peace court layer, and no single statewide search for all active warrants. Bench warrants from a city citation end up in the same district court as everything else, and a blank result at one office proves very little. This site gathers the contacts, the search steps, the case-number formats, and the request routes for each of those offices in one place.
What You Will Find Here
Seven topics cover the questions readers bring to a county warrant search. Each one names the office that holds the answer and the steps that follow.
- Warrant lookups: how to run a Goodhue County warrant lookup by name, date of birth, or case number
- Outstanding warrants: how to read the sheriff's active warrant listing and what a current-as-of stamp really tells you
- Bench warrants: how a bench warrant follows a missed court date
- Arrest warrants: how an arrest warrant is issued and served in Goodhue County
- Traffic cases: how a traffic warrant grows out of an unpaid or unanswered citation
- City cases: where a municipal warrant goes when a city officer writes the citation
- Public lists: what the county's most wanted list does and does not contain
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Minnesota court, to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, or to any state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or say whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a particular warrant applies to you
- We cannot recall, quash, remove, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot accept payment toward a warrant or post bond
- We cannot book a court date, arrange a surrender, or set up a walk-through
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing here is current today
Only two offices can settle the question: the court that issued the order and the sheriff's office that holds the listing. This site can point you to them. The confirmation has to come from them.
Search Partners
The search boxes on some pages come from third-party providers. Those companies set their own prices and run their own services, and this site may earn a referral fee when one of their tools leads to a paid signup. That revenue keeps the site free to read.
The providers decide what their tools charge and what their results contain. Their data is not an official warrant check, and it is not a substitute for calling the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office or the court that holds the case.
